Tennis elbow is a condition that effects the tendons in your elbow. The tendons connect the muscles in your forearm to the bone on the outside of your elbow.

Tennis elbow is typically caused by overuse or repetitive strain on the tendons. contrary to its name, you don’t have to play tennis to develop this condition. It can occur from any activity that involves repetitive motions of the wrist and forearm, such as typing, painting, or using hand tools.

The most common symptom of tennis elbow is pain on the outside of the elbow that may extend down to the forearm and wrist. You may also experience weakness in your grip or difficulty lifting objects. In some cases, you may notice swelling or stiffness in the affected arm.

Treatment for tennis elbow can involves rest, ice, and anti-inflammatory medication to reduce swelling. Manual therapy is often recommended to help stretch and strengthen the affected muscles and tendons. In more severe cases, surgery may be necessary to repair or remove damaged tissue.
